FOUNDER

The passion and drive to bring Vector HRV to life was sparked by Vince Russo’s more than 20 years’ experience in the air conditioning and refrigeration industries.

During his teenage years, Vince worked for Uni-Aire Air Conditioners, a family owned company, building electrical boards for air conditioning units being manufactured in South West Sydney. He became a qualified HVAC tradesman in 2005 and has worked in both commercial and residential air conditioning and refrigeration. By 2009 Vince had progressed into a General Manager role of a reputable air conditioning company specialising in high-end custom designed residential homes.
Through his extensive experience in and knowledge of the building industry, Vince identified a gap in the market. As a sufferer of respiratory issues himself, he saw an opportunity to explore new methods and technologies to create healthier, cleaner indoor environments.

INTRODUCING HEAT RECOVERY VENTILATION

Thorough research of the latest ventilation technologies around the world and learning about advancements in building methods and standards saw Vince discover Passive House Standards. Delving into this revolutionary, sustainability-focused type of build is how he uncovered HRV and its incredible benefits. So impressed and intrigued by this clever method of achieving efficient healthy ventilation, Vince alongside a business partner, became one of the first suppliers and installers of HRV in Australia in 2011.

At the time, HRV was still fairly underground and limited to only Passive House builds. However, through an increase in people looking to improve the way their homes are built, as well as increased interest in creating improved indoor air quality, HRV is forever gaining traction and popularity.

Vince’s passion for the HRV product has not wavered since his early days of discovery. He remains dedicated to his cause of creating healthy, comfortable and cleaner homes and buildings.
